Base Information

Everything you need to get started and grow with confidence.
Option #1

Level Surface

The most common and reliable foundation is a level surface made from concrete slabs or pavers. This type of base offers a strong, long-lasting platform for your greenhouse and ensures the door operates smoothly over time.

Always make the slab slightly larger than the greenhouse itself — we recommend leaving 6 to 12 inches of extra space on each side. For example, if your greenhouse is 8 by 6 feet, a base of 10 by 8 feet gives you room to walk around, place water barrels, and maintain the space with ease.

Option #2

Soft Ground

If you're placing your greenhouse directly on soil or grass, it’s important to support the door area to prevent shifting. Without something solid beneath the door sill, the frame can settle unevenly, making it harder for the door to open and close properly.

We recommend placing a row of pavers or concrete blocks under the door area to keep the track stable. For best results, use our soft ground support system to help the door glide smoothly. The ground itself should still be as level and compact as possible to ensure the entire frame remains square.

Aluminum Base with Low Threshold

Every Greenfluence greenhouse comes with an integrated aluminum base for added strength, stability, and ease of installation. This base won’t rust, rot, or warp over time — and it supports the full structure directly from the ground up.

The included low-threshold door design eliminates high steps, making it safer and more accessible. It’s ideal for gardeners using carts, wheelbarrows, or mobility aids, and helps prevent tripping when entering or exiting the greenhouse.

Recommended For Larger Models

Brick Base

For larger or permanent installations like the Titan Collection, a brick base offers exceptional strength, insulation, and long-term performance. Built using solid engineering bricks, this option not only reinforces the frame but also adds a premium look to your setup.

Because the greenhouse frame overlaps the brickwork, precise construction is key. Our technical team can provide exact measurements to ensure a proper fit. The door can also be inset into the brickwork for a flush, step-free entry, perfect for wheelbarrows or accessibility needs.
